Not only did I make chili (inasmuch as browning some meat and throwing stuff in a crock pot then wandering off is “makin g”), but I also made some good progress on the front end of the Chevelle.
Finished removing the old undercoating (I’m very glad there is less and less of this still on the car every day; sick of it getting everywhere ) and cleaned up the remaining surface rust and factory paint-edges with a stripping wheel on the die grinder.
Next up is some final prep work, a little masking, then the frame will be ready for primer. If I’m feeling ambitious tomorrow, it may be in primer by the end of the weekend. Paint (including firewall) will soon follow!

How to make chili:
1. Brown some beef
2. Put the beef in a crock pot or a stock pot, put it on medium low heat.
3. Throw beans, tomatos, corn if you really want to, onions, and anything else that sounds good in the pot. Add whatever spices seem right.
4. Crack open a beer. Watch TV. Take a nap.
5. Wake up a 6 pm. Oh, crap! I was making chili!
6. Taste the chili. Huh, it’s good. Cool. Top with oyster crackers and cheese, serve hot.
Yup, you made chili.

Thanks! I’m doing what I can reach of the inside of the frame, from what I can see looking in, a lot of it is also undercoated inside, some of which is still in tact. I may spray some fluid film inside just for good measure, but otherwise there’s not a whole lot I can do inside of it.
